Import your guest list from Google Sheets
Download your sheet as a CSV, or copy and paste the rows straight in. Tablecharm reads whatever headers you already have.
A lot of guest lists start, and stay, in a plain Google Sheet: a column of names, maybe a column for who is coming with whom, maybe an RSVP tracker added later. There is no standard layout, which is exactly why Tablecharm's import does not expect one.
As long as the first row of your sheet is a header row, Tablecharm looks at those headers and works out which column is the name, which one groups guests together, and which one is an RSVP status, if you have one. Everything else in the sheet is left alone.
How to export your list from Google Sheets
- 1.Open your guest list in Google Sheets.
- 2.Make sure the first row is a header row with labels such as Name (or First Name and Last Name), Group or Party, and RSVP if you track it.
- 3.Go to File, then Download, and choose Comma Separated Values (.csv).
- 4.In Tablecharm, upload that file with the CSV button in the guest panel, or select the rows in your sheet and paste them straight into the paste box.
What comes through
Because every sheet is a little different, Tablecharm only asks for a name in each row. If you have a group or party column, guests sharing a value are seated as a block; if you have an RSVP column, anyone it marks as declined is left out and everyone else comes through.
Names, party size, and plus-ones all come through automatically, so you land in the editor with a real guest list instead of a blank page.

Questions couples ask
My sheet does not use the exact headers Tablecharm expects. Will it still work?
Most likely, yes. The import recognizes common variations like Guest Name, First Name and Last Name, Party, Household, and RSVP, and ignores any column it does not recognize rather than failing on it.
Can I skip the CSV step and just paste?
Yes. Select your guest rows in Google Sheets, copy them, and paste directly into Tablecharm's guest panel. It reads pasted text the same way it reads an uploaded CSV.
What if my sheet has no header row at all?
Add one first. A single row of labels above your data, such as Name and Group, is what lets Tablecharm tell the columns apart. Without it, the first row of names would be read as a header by mistake.
