Google Sheets guest list to seating chart
Open your guest list in Google Sheets, then go to File and Download. Choose Comma-separated values (.csv) to save the current sheet.
What Tablecharm reads from the file
The import matches the header row, not a fixed column order. Whichever of these headers your Google Sheets export contains are read; every other column is ignored:
- Name / Guest / Full Name
- First Name
- Last Name
- Party / Household / Group
- RSVP / Status / Attending (one column per event is fine)
- Plus One / And Guest
- Partner First Name
- Partner Last Name
- Child (yes/no)
- Notes
- Tags
- Side
- Meal / Meal Choice / Entree
- Dietary Restrictions / Allergies
- Access Needs / Accessibility
Open the file in Tablecharm
This opens the editor on the Guests tab with Import a CSV ready. Upload the spreadsheet you just exported.
Questions couples ask
My sheet does not use the exact headers Tablecharm expects. Will it still work?
Most likely, yes. The import recognizes common variations like Guest Name, First Name and Last Name, Party, Household, and RSVP, and ignores any column it does not recognize.
Can I skip the CSV step and just paste?
Yes. Select your guest rows in Google Sheets, copy them, and paste directly into Tablecharm's guest panel. Pasted text is read the same way as an uploaded CSV.
