Import your guest list from The Knot

Download your list from The Knot's guest list manager, then paste or upload it here to start your seating chart.

The Knot's guest list manager tracks names, addresses, and RSVP responses, and it can hand that back to you as a downloadable file. That file is all Tablecharm needs to build your first seating chart.

Tablecharm reads the header row of whatever you download, matches names and any grouping column to real guests, and skips anyone whose RSVP already says they are not coming. You still add your keep-together and keep-apart rules yourself; the import just saves you retyping the list.

How to export your list from The Knot

  1. 1.Sign in to The Knot and open your guest list manager.
  2. 2.Look for a download or export option in the top right corner of the guest list.
  3. 3.Choose which export you want: the full guest table, or a table of RSVP responses if you are tracking those separately.
  4. 4.Save the file it gives you. It should download as a CSV or a file you can open in a spreadsheet program.
  5. 5.In Tablecharm, upload that file with the CSV button in the guest panel, or open it and paste the rows straight into the paste box.

What comes through

Once uploaded, Tablecharm matches first and last name, any group or household column, and RSVP status if the export includes one. A guest whose RSVP says declined is left out; everyone else, including a noted plus-one, comes through with their group intact.

Names, party size, and plus-ones all come through automatically, so you land in the editor with a real guest list instead of a blank page.

The editor and solver are free to try. Unlocking every table and the printable exports is a one-time charge.

Questions couples ask

What if my Guest List export from The Knot has columns Tablecharm does not use?

That is fine. Tablecharm only reads the columns it recognizes, such as name, group, and RSVP status, and ignores the rest without any cleanup needed on your end.

Will plus-ones from The Knot come through?

If your export notes a plus-one for a guest, that plus-one is added as its own guest in the same party, so the two are seated together rather than treated as strangers.

Do I have to use the exported file, or can I just paste?

Either works. Upload the file directly, or open it, select the rows, and paste them into Tablecharm's guest panel. Both go through the same reader.
